Accessibility Statement

Last updated: May 25, 2026

1. Our commitment

OwnFit is committed to making its digital products accessible to people with disabilities, in line with the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882) transposed in Italy by D.Lgs. 27 May 2022, n. 82.

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at conformance level AA across the marketing site (ownfit.it), the trainer web application (app.ownfit.it), and the OwnFit Athletes mobile app on iOS and Android.

2. Conformance status

This statement applies to the OwnFit marketing site, the trainer web application, and the athlete mobile applications.

These products are partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. "Partially conformant" means that some parts of the content do not yet fully meet the accessibility standard. We are actively working to close the remaining gaps.

Known limitations as of the last update: some interactive components in the trainer app rely on colour to convey state without a secondary cue; some long-form content does not yet have manually authored alternative text for every illustrative image; native mobile elements inherit platform contrast tokens that may fall below 4.5:1 in light mode.

3. Compatibility

The OwnFit web applications are designed to work with the latest versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge on desktop, and Safari and Chrome on iOS and Android.

They are tested with the most recent versions of the following assistive technologies: VoiceOver (macOS, iOS), TalkBack (Android), NVDA (Windows), and the built-in browser zoom up to 200%.

The mobile app supports system text scaling, dynamic type, increased contrast, and reduce-motion preferences set in the device operating system.

4. Feedback and contact

If you encounter an accessibility barrier on any OwnFit product, please let us know. Email info@ownfit.it with the subject "Accessibility feedback" and describe: the URL or screen where you experienced the issue, your assistive technology and browser/OS, and what you were trying to do.

We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within 5 working days and to provide a substantive response within 30 days.

On request, we can provide content from inaccessible parts of the product in an alternative accessible format.

5. Enforcement procedure

In Italy, the body that oversees the implementation of the European Accessibility Act is AgID (Agenzia per l'Italia Digitale).

If you are not satisfied with our response to your accessibility report, you can file a complaint with AgID via the form available at https://form.agid.gov.it.

You may also lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority in your EU country of residence.

6. Preparation of this statement

This statement was prepared on May 25, 2026 based on a self-assessment against WCAG 2.1 level AA. It will be reviewed at least annually and after any significant update to the affected products.
